A proposal moving through the Oklahoma Legislature would create a state fund to help pay for Olympic events planned for Oklahoma City during the 2028 Summer Games. Canoe slalom and softball competitions will be held at Riversport and Devon Park. Officials say hosting the events could cost close to $100 million and bring more than 500,000 visitors to the city. The bill has passed the state Senate and now moves to the Oklahoma House.
