Oklahoma Death Row Inmate Executed

The third execution of a death row inmate this year in the U.S. has been carried out in Oklahoma. Kendrick Simpson was given the lethal injection this morning at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester. Simpson was convicted of killing two men in a drive-by shooting in Oklahoma City in 2006, after a confrontation with the victims at a local night club. He had come to Oklahoma city in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans.
