Oklahoma officials are considering changing the way the state's top education official is selected. Joint Resolution 33 would take the power to choose the State Superintendent from the public and give it to the governor. Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt is calling for the change after former State Superintendent Ryan Walter resigned last year and the governor appointed Lindel Fields as his replacement.
