The Oklahoma Supreme Court is denying a stay on the state's new social studies standards. A lawsuit filed last month alleged that the standards were unconstitutional by promoting religious teachings in schools and lessons that were not age-appropriate for young students. The lawsuit had asked the State Supreme Court to issue a stay on the standards until a final decision was made in the case.
