Severe weather swept through Oklahoma on Tuesday night (June 17), prompting numerous storm warnings and causing significant disruptions.
A series of tornado warnings were issued west and north of Oklahoma City.
The National Weather Service reported a confirmed tornado on the ground southeast of Salina in Cherokee County.
A confirmed tornado was spotted in Major County near Fairview.
Some tree damage was reported near Coyle in Logan County.
Some roof damage was reported near Pawhuska.
Damage was reported to the Promenade Mall building in Tulsa. The mall was closed in 2023.
Some tree damage was reported in Tahlequah.
Damaging straight-line winds were reported throughout portions of Central and Northeastern Oklahoma, including the Oklahoma City and Tulsa metro areas.
Power outages were reported throughout the state. More than 36,000 utility customers were without power as of 1:15 a.m. Wednesday.
Another round of severe weather is possible on Wednesday afternoon and evening.
