Boat owners in Oklahoma are reminded to renew their registrations for all motorized boats by July 1. According to Service Oklahoma, this deadline applies to all boats used or capable of being used for transportation on Oklahoma waters. Under House Bill 2010, also known as Andy’s Law, all motorized boats renewing their registration will receive a carbon monoxide warning decal and an informational pamphlet about the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning while on the water.

All boats with motors, including motorized vessels and outboard motors exceeding 10 horsepower, must be titled and registered separately. Owners can choose to register their boats for either one year or three years. Service Oklahoma has streamlined the registration process, allowing boat owners to complete renewals online or in-person. For online renewals, the carbon monoxide warning decal and safety pamphlet will be mailed to the address on file.

Boat owners can visit the Service Oklahoma website to find a nearby licensed operator or to get more information about boat registration.
