Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt is vetoing a bill that would give women more access to mammograms. Stitt says he vetoed the measure because it would have imposed new and costly insurance mandates on private health plans and raise premiums for Oklahoma families and businesses. The bill would require mammograms to be covered by insurance, and it was authored by State Representative Melissa Provenzano, who was diagnosed with breast cancer while working on the bill.
