The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services is seeking more funding. The agency is asking state lawmakers for an additional $6.2 million to get through the next several months. Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt is hiring an independent investigator to examine the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services after Commissioner Allie Friesen told Stitt in March her staff discovered five years of structural budget deficiencies.
