An Oklahoma woman is charged in connection with online romance scams. 53-year-old Christine Echohawk of Pawnee was charged with allegedly laundering nearly $1.5 million from out-of-state victims between September and December 2024. Prosecutors say the victims believed they were sending money to a man whom they thought they were in an online relationship with. In one case, a female victim sold her home to send $600,000 to the scammer.
