The Oklahoma City Thunder secured their seventh consecutive victory by defeating the Sacramento Kings 121-105 on Tuesday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 32 points, marking his 45th game this season with at least 30 points, a feat only matched by Wilt Chamberlain and Michael Jordan in consecutive seasons. The Thunder's win also made them the first NBA team to reach 60 wins this season, matching their 2012-13 record for the most wins since relocating from Seattle.
Chet Holmgren contributed 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Alex Caruso added 15 points to the Thunder's tally. The team has now won 14 of their last 15 games and boasts a franchise-record 11-game road winning streak, tying with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the longest this season. According to CBS Sports, the Thunder's early lead extended to 24 points, and despite a third-quarter rally by the Kings, they maintained control throughout the game.
The Thunder's dominant performance continued into the fourth quarter, securing their 46th double-digit win of the season, tied for the fourth-most in NBA history. As reported by ESPN, the Kings, led by Keegan Murray's 28 points, have now lost four straight games and are at risk of missing the play-in tournament.
Oklahoma City, currently leading the Western Conference, will next face the Memphis Grizzlies at home on Thursday. Gilgeous-Alexander, in his seventh NBA season, continues to impress with averages of 32.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game, as highlighted by Sports Illustrated.
