The Oklahoma City Thunder extended their winning streak to five games with a decisive 141-106 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the charge for the Thunder, scoring 30 points, along with nine assists and six rebounds, after returning to the lineup following a brief absence. He made 13 of 18 shots and sat out the fourth quarter as the Thunder had already secured a commanding lead.

The Thunder, who have clinched the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, showcased their depth despite missing starters Lu Dort and Jalen Williams. Chet Holmgren contributed 14 points, five rebounds, and three blocks, while Isaiah Hartenstein added a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Eight Thunder players reached double figures in scoring, highlighting the team's balanced offensive attack.

Oklahoma City dominated the game from the start, leading 66-49 at halftime after a buzzer-beater from Kenrich Williams. The Thunder's defense was stifling, forcing the Hornets into 16 turnovers and outscoring them 64-26 in the paint. The Hornets, missing key players LaMelo Ball and Mark Williams, struggled to keep up despite hitting 19 of 41 three-pointers.

Charlotte managed to narrow the gap to 10 points early in the third quarter, but Oklahoma City responded with an 18-0 run, effectively sealing the game. The Thunder's victory improved their record to 58-12, surpassing last season's win total with 12 games remaining. They also boast an impressive 26-1 record against Eastern Conference opponents.

Looking ahead, the Thunder will face the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday (March 23), while the Hornets will visit the Miami Heat. Oklahoma City's recent performances have solidified their status as a top contender for the NBA championship this season.
