A state representative wants to lock the clock in Central Standard Time. Representative Kevin West's bill would do away with Daylight Saving Time and would not require federal approval. Governor Stitt last year signed into law a bill to lock the clock in Daylight Saving Time, but it cannot go into effect without federal approval. The bill has passed the House General Government Committee.
