The Oklahoma State Department of Education's history standards are updated. State Superintendent Ryan Walters has announced the standards now include the terms Gulf of America and Mount McKinley. The move comes after President Donald Trump signed an executive order that renamed the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America and reinstated the name Mount McKinley. The name of the nation's tallest mountain had been changed to Denali in 2015.
