Oklahoma leaders are remembering former President Jimmy Carter. Carter passed away yesterday at the age of 100.
Senator Markwayne Mullin noted that Carter dedicated his life to public service. Senator James Lankford said while their politics were different, he had always respected President Carter’s devotion to his faith, his wife, and serving others.
Oklahoma Democratic Party Chair Alicia Andrews, first and foremost, Carter will be remembered as a good man. "He measured everything he did based on his faith and whether you are a religious person or not, having a moral center is one of the things that guided him, which is I think is what our nation could embrace once again," said Andrews.
