State School Superintendent Ryan Walters is now calling for district superintendents to be elected. He says it would make superintendents accountable to voters. He accuses superintendents of injecting pornography into schools, covering up sexual misconduct by teachers, allowing students to lick each others' toes and being arrested for public intoxication on school grounds. Walters does not say whether lawmakers will consider changing the process for hiring superintendents.
