Oklahoma School Superintendent Ryan Walters is requiring all Oklahoma schools to play a 90-second video explaining why he created the Department of Religious Liberty and Patriotism. In the video, Walters speaks to students, then follows with a prayer.
In the video Walters says, "for too long in this country we have seen the radical left attack individuals' religious liberty in our schools. We will not tolerate that in Oklahoma. Your religious liberties will be protected."
Before giving his prayer, Walters tells students they do not have to participate in the prayer.
