State School Superintendent Ryan Walters files a motion to dismiss a defamation lawsuit by Bixby School Superintendent Rob Miller. Miller's lawsuit was filed against Walters in August, claiming Walters made "false, defamatory, and malicious utterances" about Miller during a State Board of Education news conference on July 31st. The allegations came after a social media post about missing Title 1 allocations. In Walters' motion to dismiss, he calls the lawsuit frivolous and says he is immune because he was performing official duties.
