The U.S. Supreme Court will hear Oklahoma death row inmate Richard Glossip's appeal on October 9th. Glossip is on death row for the 1997 murder of Oklahoma City motel owner Barry Van Treese, who was Glossip's boss. Justin Sneed admitted to bludgeoning Van Treese to death with a baseball bat while high on methamphetamines. Glossip was convicted of hiring Sneed to kill Van Treese. The Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals tossed Glossip's conviction, but he was re-tried and convicted again and sent to death row. Glossip says prosecutors pressured Sneed to implicate Glossip in return for a life sentence.
