Oklahoma Task Force One is continuing to help with recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene. The task force has rescued four people and multiple pets in Tennessee and North Carolina. The task force was sent to Tennessee due to high waters in the aftermath of the storm and has also been helping victims in North Carolina.

Recovery from Hurricane Helene and the storm's aftermath could take years in some parts of the Southeast. That could be especially true in the western North Carolina city of Asheville, where the death toll more than tripled on Monday to at least 40. Across the region, some 130 deaths have been reported in the days since Helene made landfall in Florida as a devastating Category 4 hurricane.
