Rangers Defeat Angels In Series Opener

The Rangers started out their series opener against the LA Angels with a 3-1 win at Globe Life Field. Adolis Garcia hit his 22nd home run of the season on a three-run blast in the first inning and the Rangers held on for their third straight victory. Cody Bradford earned his fifth win after striking out four through six innings of one-run ball, while Kirby Yates recorded his 27th save. The Rangers are third in the AL West at 68-and-73. They host the Angels again tonight.
