Federal Court officials here in Oklahoma are warning residents about the return of a phone scam involving fake jury duty. Officials say the scammers will call potential victims with threats of arrest for missing jury duty. They'll then tell the victim they need to pay a fine right away, either over the phone, or with cash through a courier. The scammers will be convincing because they'll provide the names and other information for real court officials. Federal officials say they only send a jury summons through the mail, and if a court official does contact a person by phone, they will never ask for money. They say if you get such a call, hang up and notify authorities.
