State School Superintendent Ryan Walters is out with new guidelines on patriotic displays at Oklahoma schools. The guidelines are in response to the Edmond North High School student told he couldn't fly the American flag from the back of his pickup truck while on campus. The guidelines require every school district to develop a policy that ensures the US flag can be flown and displayed without infringement. Walters says no school should tell students they can't wave an American flag. He says young people should never have to fear displaying their patriotism.
