The Chiefs are adding a veteran playmaker to their backfield. Kansas City has signed running back Samaje Perine to the active roster after he was cut by the division rival Denver Broncos on Tuesday. The 28-year-old has rushed for 1,830 yards and eight touchdowns during his seven-year career. He also has 151 receptions for 1,191 yards and six TDs. In another move, the Chiefs have signed quarterback Bailey Zappe to the practice squad. The team has also added wide receiver Justyn Ross and defensive tackle Matt Dickerson, among others, to the practice squad.
