The largest tax cut in state history is about to take effect. Starting tomorrow, the 4.5% state sales tax on groceries will be eliminated.

You will still have to pay any city or county taxes, and not all food items are covered under the tax cut. You can find the full list on the Oklahoma Tax Commission website.

Senate President Pro Tem Greg Treat says the tax cut will provide immediate relief to families struggling with the increased cost of living and inflation.
