The director of Oklahoma Human Services is stepping down.
A news release says Dr. Deborah Shropshire is poised to begin a new chapter in her distinguished career. She joined the state agency in 2014 and has served as director since January of 2023. Shropshire says it has been the greatest joy of her life to walk alongside an incredible team at DHS as they strive to improve our state's tomorrows. She says she will 'stand by' the agency and offer support to the next director to ensure a seamless transition.
No reason was given for her departure.
