The Royals began their road trip with a loss. Kansas City fell to the Minnesota Twins 8-3 at Target Field. Bobby Witt Jr. hit his 23rd home run of the season on a solo shot in the first inning. Kyle Isbel finished the game 3-for-4 with an RBI, while Adam Frazier also brought home a run. Starting pitcher Brady Singer was charged with the loss and is now 8-and-8 on the season after allowing six runs through five frames. The Royals have lost four of six and sit third in the AL Central at 65-and-54. They visit the Twins again tonight. Right-hander Seth Lugo will start on the mound.
