By a vote of 3 to 2, the State Pardon and Parole Board voted today to recommend clemency for death row inmate Emmanual Littlejohn, who is set to be executed September 26th for the 1992 shooting death of an Oklahoma City convenience store owner during a robbery.

Speaking to the board by video conference, Littlejohn told the Board he did not kill 31-year-old Kenny Meers.

Littlejohn's accomplice, Glenn Bethany, was also convicted of killing Meers and got life without parole. The clemency recommendation now goes to Governor Stitt, who will make the final decision.
