There will be no after-school programs at most Muskogee schools this year. District officials blame a lack of federal money to run them. Muskogee Public Schools is a Title One district, which means more than 80% of its students receive free or reduced-price lunches. The affected after-school programs are at three elementary schools, the sixth-and-seventh-grade academy and the eighth-and-ninth-grade center. The programs included tutoring.
