Governor Greg Abbott says he intends to find out what's taking CenterPoint so long to get power restored to its customers in the Houston area. Abbott and Lt. Governor Dan Patrick held a news conference Sunday afternoon at Gallery Furniture in north Houston. The governor said CenterPoint's performance is "unacceptable," and it had better not be repeated in the rest of the hurricane season. He says the company has until the end of the month to give him the details about how they plan to improve power reliability for their customers.
