Governor Signs Bills Into Law

Governor Kevin Stitt signs several bills into law yesterday. Among them, a bill requiring health care providers to comply with state and federal price-transparency laws to get a judgment on medical debts. Another requires school personnel to include parents and guardians when texting with students. Girls' sports teams will be limited to players identified as female at birth. Businesses won't have to check IDs of those who are obviously old enough to buy alcohol. Another new law clarifies when convicted felons become eligible to vote. Also, websites with adult content will have to adopt reasonable age-verification methods to give users access to that content.
