Two people are dead after tornadoes touched down in Oklahoma. Officials say two people in Pryor died as a result of the storms that moved through the state Saturday night into yesterday morning. The National Weather Service says EF-three damage was found east of Claremore, north of Highway 20. More than 20 people in Claremore were injured during the storms.
The family has identified Linda Lee and her daughter-in-law, Tawna Doran as being the two people who lost their lives during the tornado.
Other members of the family were injured and are hospitalized.
The tornadoes also damaged barns at Claremore's Will Rogers Downs, leaving no where for more than 150 horses to be stalled. Stalls at Tulsa's Expo Square are now being used to temporarily stall the horses. Some horses were injured in the storm. Two had to be euthanized and four others are getting aid from OSU.
