Corporal Punishment Bill Advances

A bill outlawing the use of corporal punishment on students with disabilities is one step closer to becoming law in Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Senate passed the measure after first hearing the bill on Tuesday evening. Autism, deafness, blindness emotional disturbance and intellectual disability are among the disabilities covered by the legislation.
