Nearly 50 members of the Oklahoma Army National Guard have been deployed to Kosovo.
A ceremony was held on Saturday giving the guard members a send-off. Oklahoma Adjutant General, Mayor General Thomas H. Mancino said Oklahoma has had soldiers serving in a number of locations, including Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.
While in Kosovo, the Oklahoma guard will provide air movement, air assault, and aviation maintenance in support of Operation Joint Guardian.
