Oklahoma is one step closer to hosting the first religious public charter school in the country. The Oklahoma Statewide Virtual Charter School Board voted three-to-two yesterday to approve a contract with St. Isidore of Seville Catholic Virtual School. The school's application was approved in June, but its planned 2024 opening could be changed due to lawsuits that Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond says could end up in the U.S. Supreme Court.
