The Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board has denied clemency to death row inmate Richard Glossip. The vote was two to two among the four Board members present. That clears the way for the May 18th execution of Glossip, who was convicted of being the mastermind of a murder for hire plot that resulted in the murder of Glossip's boss, Oklahoma City motel owner Barry Van Treese in 1997. The actual killer, Justin Sneed, was sentenced to life in prison in a plea deal in exchange for his testimony against Glossip.
