The University of Oklahoma says calls claiming there was an active shooter on campus on Friday night were apparently were placed from outside the country. University President Joseph Harroz, Junior, says several calls came in claiming shots were being fired near the library, prompting the university to issue an alert telling students there was a possible active shooter on campus. More than one hundred law enforcement officers from various agencies converged on the campus. After a thorough search, the university's police later announced the threat was likely the results of a hoax. No evidence was found of any shooting taking place.
