A McAlester police officer is dead after being involved in a head-on crash while he was taking part in a funeral procession for another officer. Authorities announced yesterday that Officer Joseph Barlow passed away from his injuries at a Tulsa hospital. The driver of the truck that struck Barlow's vehicle head-on, Martin Rivas, is facing charges including reckless driving as well as driving without a license.
