Toxic waste from the train derailment in East Palestine Ohio won't be coming to Oklahoma. In a social media post on Sunday, Governor Stitt said he blocked the shipment because there are too many unanswered questions. The EPA had planned to ship about 3,600 tons of waste material to a disposal site in Waynoka. Stitt says he immediately worked with members of the Oklahoma congressional delegation to stop the shipment from coming to Oklahoma. He says he ultimately made the decision the shipment was not in the best interest of Oklahomans.
