Oklahoma Emergency Management is confirming the death of one person as a result of Sunday night's severe weather. One person died in the western Oklahoma town of Cheyenne. Several tornadoes touched down across the state during Sunday's storms. The storms left widespread damage including in Norman where 12 people were injured.

Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt is reacting to Sunday's severe storms and tornadoes. The governor tweeted that his heart goes out to the communities impacted by the severe weather. Stitt also thanked emergency response teams and power crews who have worked to restore electricity to homes and businesses.

The home of a University of Oklahoma football player is among those damaged by Sunday's tornado. Redshirt junior defensive lineman Kori Roberson posted yesterday that he lost his home when severe storms tore through Norman. Several of Roberson's teammates were at the home yesterday to help clean up debris. A GoFundMe page for Roberson had raised nearly 13-thousand-dollars as of late last night.
