According the weather monitoring company Vaisala, Oklahoma is among the top states for the number of lightning strikes. The company says there were more than 11-million strikes in 2022. Oklahoma was ranked fourth in the country, behind Louisiana, Florida and Texas. Texas had the most with more than 27-million strikes in 2022.
