Wintry weather is hitting Oklahoma. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning and/or a Winter Weather Advisory for some counties in central, western, northwest and southern Oklahoma. Many residents should expect around one-to-three inches of accumulation while folks in the west central area of the state could see higher amounts. The Tulsa area is only expecting a wintery mix, with little to no accumulation.
Road conditions are expected to be dicey in the western parts of the state. That's why the Oklahoma Department of Transportation is urging motorists to download the Drive Oklahoma app. Residents should check the app before leaving home for a look at the state's highway cameras. Snow is expected to blanket most of the state today. The app is free for Apple and Google Play users.
