One day after a series of pager explosions killed 12 people and injured thousands across Lebanon, there are reports of more explosions. According to CNN, walkie-talkies belonging to members of Hezbollah detonated around 3 p.m. local time, leaving at least nine people dead and hundreds injured.
One source told the outlet that there were between 15 to 20 explosions in the suburbs of Beirut and 15 to 20 explosions reported in southern Lebanon.
A witness told CNN they were at a funeral for a Hezbollah member when a walkie-talkie exploded, blowing a man's hands off and leaving him covered in blood.
While Israel has remained quiet about the attacks, two U.S. officials told NBC News that Israel was responsible. Investigators are still trying to figure out how the attack happened. The pagers had the logo of Taiwan-based Gold Apollo. However, the company said they were manufactured by Hungary-based BAC Consulting, which licensed the company's logo.
"The design and manufacturing of the products are entirely handled by BAC," Gold Apollo said in a statement.
