The Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board is denying clemency for a death row inmate. Yesterday's ruling means that John Hanson is still scheduled to be executed on June 12th. Hanson and an accomplice carjacked and kidnapped 77-year-old Mary Bowles in Tulsa in 1999 and shot her to death. They also shot innocent bystander Jerald Thurman before Bowles was killed.
