Firefighters from a number of fire departments were called in to battle a large fire in downtown Wagoner on Monday afternoon.
The City of Wagoner asked residents to conserve water while the blaze was being fought. In a post on Facebook, the city said, "we need your help, Wagoner. We ask that our citizens please conserve water at this time as our firefighters battle the fire on South Main. This will help us be proactive and avoid our water towers reaching critically low levels. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance! Please continue to avoid S Main."
