Oklahoma State piled up 16 steals in a 76-55 victory over Tulsa on Wednesday evening at the Reynolds Center.

The Cowboys (5-2) scored 32 points off 22 turnovers and held their hosts to a paltry 36% from the field (5-of-24, .208 from three) to secure their first true road win of the season.

Bryce Thompson – a Tulsa native whose father starred for the Golden Hurricane in the late 90s – put on a strong performance, with a game-high 15 points, four assists and four steals. The latter matched his career high set two years ago against Texas Tech.

Abou Ousmane added 13 points and seven rebounds. Six of his points came during a 9-0 run that put OSU in front for good near the 5:00-mark of the first half.

Marchelus “Chi Chi” Avery and Brandon Newman tacked on 11 points each and Davonte “Devo” Davis had a team-high eight rebounds.

Tulsa dropped to 4-5 on the year.
