Tulsa police say a driver involved in a police chase was clutching a python when he was stopped. The pursuit happened yesterday after officers spotted a car without headlights near Sheridan and Archer in North Tulsa. Officers say Evan Woodard refused to give them his identification or insurance verification. Woodard led a short chase, then fled on foot. After officers nabbed Woodard, they found fentanyl, marijuana products and nearly five-thousand dollars inside Woodard's vehicle. He was booked into jail on complaints including trafficking fentanyl, drug possession, resisting arrest and obstruction. The python was not injured and was released to a friend of Woodard.
